Geraniums are hardy herbaceous perennials and many species may be found growing wild in several continents.
There are over 300 species of Geranium and they are found throughout the montane troimages and temperate regions of the world. The name is from the Greek "geranos", "crane", referring to the long, pointed, Crane's Bill-like seed head.
In this garden lecture I will describe the variety within the genus, illustrated by my own digital pictures. I will also give some advice about growing these beautiful plants and give tips on suitable sites for their cultivation.
