Caerhays houses one of the National Magnolia Collections.
There are just over 40 species of Magnolia, Maglietia and Michelia, 170 named cultivars and 250 (as yet) unnamed seedlings.
The oldest specimens are amongst the oldest plants of Magnolia in the Country and some of them are trees many metres high.
